DISCLAIMER: This podcast was recorded live online and thus is messier than usual. Beyond that, I (Zach) was also on my bad microphone, so things don’t sound quite so crisp. Sections of the live recording have not been included on this but the episodes is largely unedited, so enjoy. We’ll be back next week sounding as awesome as usual.

Wishes i could see what was going on.
Did you guys post a link to the Pepsi bottle cap dealio yet? Those sound amazing.
Live episode, huh? Cool, I guess.
News…
Another speed-up? Okay, I guess…
It’s kind of scary that Oda’s actually effecting an entire generation of children by having OP fans give them OP character names… specifically Ace. Me, if I ever have a kid, I’m calling it Axel if it’s a boy and Vivian if it’s a girl.
Greg no Gougai…
Those first two questions were brilliant.
On the subject of Haki, I knew someone how despised anyone who used the word “haki” because to them, it was the same as those weeaboos forcing “nakama” down our throats. But to me, I felt like “haki” was the best way to describe that power everyone was using without confusing English readers. I’ve heard it called “willpower” and “ambition”, but I don’t know if those kinds of terms would work.
Oh, HO! A My Little Pony question… That wasn’t asked by ME for a change! XD
It sucks that Greg’s busy, but I can’t blame him for making the time to watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Really, there are better episodes than the first two that he should check out, but until then, just keep in mind the series only gets better after the first two episodes.
HOORAY, FUNKATRON’S A BRONY! Sort of. But glad to see at least ONE of the members of this podcast is a fan.
Backstory of the Supernova? Well, obviously, everyone’s going to say Bonney, because of her encounter with Akainu, but personally, I’d like to see X Drake’s backstory. Why he was a Marine and why did he become a pirate?
Actually, Urouge’s backstory would be interesting, and I wouldn’t mind hearing it. Wow, kids who are Urouge fans.
Anime recap…
Oh yes… We begin with the way the chapter began… Luffy getting ready to leave for Shabody, after 2 years of training… I liked that that part was in color, because the anime knows what colors to use for this scene.
I bet it feels weird for Luffy… retrieving his hat he left there for 2 years… Good thing it’s still in good condition.
Marguerite looks nice as always… Kind of wish she’d join the crew… Oops, spoilers I guess. Eh… I like how the giant animals look like they’re about to attack, but Luffy’s all like, “yo, back off, she’s with me” and shit. Awesome.
Umm, wait a minute… Hancock and Marigold wore different-colored outfits in the manga, didn’t they? Eh, whatever.
Even though Luffy said the animals looked yummy and wanted to eat them, they seem genuinely sad that Luffy’s leaving… That’s cute. I wonder if Surume will be the same way?
About the new opening, We go…
Umm… Wow… What else can I say, but… Awesome!
There’s DEFINITELY a lot of energy in this song, it gets you SO pumped!
One thing I noticed… Apparently, they’ve decided upon a colorscheme for Vander Decken and Hody Jones, even though they’re darkened a bit. I mean, they’re going to have to unless Oda uses them on the cover of a volume or decides to do a “Straw Hat Pirates vs. New Fishman Pirates” color spread.
And also, the very beginning a little inaccurate. The Great Pirate Era ended 2 years ago when Whitebeard died… Oh well.
Not to mention… did they just call Usopp “Usoppu”?! Ugh…
Yeah, it took me a few seconds to get the pun. “san”, which means 3, sounds like “sun”, and “go” means 5.
So, onto the actual episode… We see Zoro arriving first. That’s cool. How cocky of him to assume everyone else is always late. But what’s strange is that this is the first time he’s actually arrived first before anyone else… I think we’ve got Perona to thank for that.
Interesting how they cut from Zoro’s arrival to 10 days later… And with Nami no less!
I didn’t really expect the Fake Straw Hat Pirates to look any different then how they look here… Although I think Fake Franky has oddly-colored lips… Kind of like Dadan’s. Anyway, like I said, everyone there is an idiot for actually believing they’re the REAL Straw Hat Pirates…
Whoa, look at all the Soul King Brook merchandise! I want some! I wonder what that guy is listening to…
I noticed that at one point, the leader long-arm manager loses his mustache.
So THAT’S Bone to be Wild… Funny, the way the song started out, it almost sounded like Ice Ice Baby…
I think, judging from the managers reactions, what Brook told them was that he was a member of the Straw Hat Pirates, and that he’s a pirate himself, and that he’s going to live this plush celebrity lifestyle to rejoin them. Hence why the managers ratted him out by reporting him to the Marines.
Honestly, I don’t mind Sanji freaking out over ladies now, since he’s been stuck on an island full of THOSE DISGUSTING CREATURES!!!! At least he tells them to give his thanks to Ivankov. Has weird as he is, at least Ivankov’s a LITTLE easier on the eyes. And he shaves.
I LOVE the irony of this scene, where a Fake Luffy is shooting down a guy with a 55 million berry bounty… The same bounty another “up-and-coming” rookie bragged about a while ago…
Oh wow… Fake Franky sounds like an old man… HOLY SHIT, WHAT’S UP WITH FAKE SOGEKING’S VOICE?! I expected something MUCH deeper than that! Not to mention… HE sounds like Franky!!! I mean, holy shit, that came right the fuck out of nowhere!
I HATE how everyone’s convinced that they are the Straw Hat Pirates, even though they look NOTHING like their wanted posters…
Is THAT the new eyecatcher? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I want the individual eyecatcher back!
Oh wow… Fake Nami is so OBVIOUSLY Chopper… It’s kind of creepy, actually, a woman like her with a voice like that. She’s fat, too, which is why she’s a terrible “Cat Burglar” Nami. Also, Usopp walks in unnoticed like a badass! XD
Now that I listen closer, Fake Luffy DOES sound a lot like Sanji… Didn’t notice it at first…
I can’t believe Usopp nearly fell for that lame Luffy disguise… And I’m amazed that Usopp actually paid for Nami’s drinks. How nice. Especially considering that Nami is about to destroy the bar. And Nami and Usopp casually have their conversation as calamity strikes.
WHOA! What happened to Momonga? His hair looks different… As in a different color! Did the anime not realize it was him?! His voice… Dammit, I can’t tell if it’s different or not!
Robin’s new outfit definitely looks nice, but sometimes I wonder how that dress stays on…
Franky cameo… I LOVE IT!
Chopper still looks and sounds like a little kid… Like he hasn’t changed at all… In fact, it almost looks like he shrunk!
Fake Luffy’s such a bastard, he thinks he can get away with anything, which is why I’m SO GLAD when he gets what’s coming to him in a most spectacular fashion!
The slow-mo of Fake Luffy gett nudged slightly then falling on his ass is so freaking funny!
The new preview music is… Not bad. I’m sure I’ll get used to it.
Piece together…
I HOPE they make variations with the other Straw Hat Pirates. That’s what I liked most about their eyecatchers. Now that I recall, though, originally, Luffy’s was used over and over a lot, so maybe they’ll do the same here for a time.
I noticed Robin using her new ability, in that she made a duplicate of herself to lose the guys following her.
Funny, I remember hearing about crazy fangirls willingly throwing their bras, shirts, and panties on stage. Now that Brook’s a rock star, I’m sure that’s happened to him a number of times!
Nice episode, look forward to next week.

Seriously though, cool episode
