FREAKING AWESOME! This made that week without you guys totally worth it. The manga recap was amazing plain and simple but with that chapter it was bound to be. The volume 63 was Epic! I especially loved the 7 warlords as little kids. Mihawk was so cute, I still think it’s possible for Croc-boy to have been a chick hahaha, and no matter what that blackbeard pic shows I hate him nothing can change that.
Greg I truly love having you back you always bring the best stuff. I want that chopper hat so much XD!!! I love those half-age figures Luffy and Zoro are awesome, but I was wondering the same thing when I saw Robin that is not a half-age girls body -_-. The interview with Scott was great, I really hope for him, and for us fans, that he’ll be able to work on more One Piece soon. Very good questions in the Piece Together part too. all in all a truly jawesome episode, get it, I loved the shark puns too. I can’t wait to hear you guys again tomorrow ^_^.
Shark Week? Yeah, I knew about that. Sharks are pretty cool…
Personally, I hope the Discovery Channel takes on [adult swim]‘s bet to do Ant Week. Ants can be totally deadly!
Anyway, One Piece chapter 633. I remember this chapter as the one where I cheered and booed my computer screen. I am not convinced that Hody Jones is, without a doubt, one of the biggest douches in One Piece, alongside Spandam and the Celestial Dragons. Anyway, we’ll get to that when we come to it.
Did Broggy and Dorry actually read the newspaper? I see it there, but are they too distracted fighting? And since when did the News Coo deliver papers there?! Oh yeah, they’re still fighting. I like that, seeing them again, and seeing them still duke it out!
BTW, Dorry was voiced by Daisuke Gori, who passed away a year ago. Although, I don’t know if Dorry will actually make another appearance in the anime…
I think Hody’s just surprised that Shirahoshi knew that he killed her mother… thanks to Megalo!
Holy cow, Hody DOES remind me of Arlong and Crocodile meshed together!
I was really impressed with this, Shirahoshi still held her mother’s dying wishes to heart… And the fact that Hody laughed at her and called her stupid really pissed me off!
It’s Fukaboshi, Mamboshi, and… Ryuboshi? I forgot the last one’s name.
I’m surprised, actually, that the princes and King Neptune survived getting “shot” repeatedly! They must have strong stamina! …Or maybe it’s because it’s One Piece.
This part I really liked, because it shows that Fishman Island is now on the Straw Hats’ side. Even though they still think he’ll destroy the island, they’d rather have it destroyed then in the hands of that monster. And I agree, fuck that guy!
And yeah, Arlong’s sister is hot.
And while I admit that this really is grabbing at straws, I have hate HATE how Hody assumes that Shirley’s prediction was wrong, just this one time. Like what the FUCK?! Are you so God-damn full of yourself that you’re going to say it’s wrong just this once?
I feel bad for Megalo, keeping Luffy inside of him that whole time. But at least Luffy FINALLY makes his appearance! And FINALLY gives Hody a well-deserved kick to the gut!
OH SHIT, I did NOT notice the kraken tentacle! I STILL want Surume to join the crew, even if Jimbei does/doesn’t.
What happened at the palace and how Zoro, Usopp, and Brook were rescued is ultimately unimportant. All that matters is, they’re there now, and they’re ready to kick butt!
I immediately thought of Dr. Zoidberg when I saw Zeo. That’s why he’s one of my favorites. If only FUNimation could get Billy West to voice him…
…Maybe that stick IS her Clima-tact. Her new and IMPROVED Clima-Tact!
Also, I didn’t notice the belt because her pants are so low you could practically see her pubic hairs!
lol, little happy Jimbei face. XD
I heard that “Hoe” is actually the Japanese word for “whale”.
What’s weird is that the thing with Dosun and Hoe wasn’t played for yuks, even though it’s kind of funny how he said “I will stop you” then immediately in the next panel it’s like “oh they got away!” Trust me, if it’s SUPPOSED to be played for yuks, Oda makes SURE you know. He’s painfully obvious with his humor.
That was pretty damn cool how Luffy was all like “Friend or foe? You decide!” It’s badass AND it’s quaintly true, seeing as they’re pirates, and should be looked upon as either their friends or foes.
My God… Whoever said that Japanese sentence was so freaking AWESOME!!!
I so TOTALLY thought Jimbei was going to to join, after seeing him in that badass pose with the other Straw Hat Pirates!
Yeah, I remember seeing both covers… The alternate cover with Shirahoshi inside Megalo was pretty funny!
Makino’s baby… Who could the father be…? I’m willing to bet it’s Shanks.
I couldn’t make out Robin’s picture when I saw it…
Seeing all the Warlords, old and new, as kids was such a treat! I loved it!
Jimbei… He had light-colored hair… I think there are some strands of his light-colored hair left. I think it’s blonde, according to the colorspreads.
Mihawk? He looks a bit beat… Probably from training in the ways of the sword… He still has those eyes, though, even at a young age…
Moria seems like a evil little brat. Glad to see the horror aspects about him haven’t changed much.
Not much to say about Boa Hancock, like you said, she looks exactly like she does in Chapter 0.
Glad to see I’m not the only one who didn’t immediately recognize Crocodile as a child. I’m just so used to him looking menacingly creepy! Even with his serious, grumpy face, he’s cute. They’re all cute… Except maybe Blackbeard…
Kuma is one of the two child Warlords whom I’m fascinated by. I want to know what the real Kuma was like, before his cyborg enhancements…
Doflamingo amuses me… Apart from being a kid that smokes, he seems to be living the high-life, but at the same time, looks absolutely filthy. Maybe this hints that he was raised in the slums, or in a rather crappy place, and rose up to being one of the foremen in this new pirate age…
And last but not least we have Marshall D. Teach, aka, Blackbeard, as a kid. Aside from being one of my favorite characters, I want to know more about him as a kid now thanks to this. Why is he crying? Was it because someone broke his nose? Or was it something else? What could have spark his interest in becoming the Pirate King…
Yeah, I think it could have been assumed that mermen tails don’t split looking at Neptune, but it’s nice to have this clarification.
lol, horned beetles…
I didn’t know who Scott Sager was, but he sounds like an awesome guy!
I don’t see One Piece working as a stage musical…
People have been talking about specialties… But Usopp didn’t really seem to have a specialty when he initially joined, and he was eventually labeled their sniper. Vivi and Gaimon were also given a chance to join the crew, but didn’t really have any special features, especially Gaimon. As for Jimbei, we’ve seen him steer a ship. He’d make a pretty good helmsman, don’t you agree? Being a very good swimmer helps with 4 Devil Fruit users on the crew. He could also be a “fighter” of the crew, just someone who’s really good as fighting.
OMG, the Straw Hat Pirates getting an apprentice pirate to join their crew… HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE?! Later on, I mean.
HOLY SHIT, YOU’RE ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS! My heart skipped a beat…
lol, sorry for the long comments (including this one), I just have so much to talk about…
Sorry for asking a question on an episode that was a while ago… I’ll try to keep up-to-date…
Thanks for answering my first two questions. And for putting up with my long-ass comments. Hearing what you thought about the child Warlords was great! Thank you so much!
Dammit, to think the ONE week I was away on vacation, you answered my questions… I’ll have to be more diligent from now on!
…
lol, they came from their mommy. XD
You’re saying it wrong. He’s not evilll… He’s EEEEEEEEE
VVVVIIILLLLLL! When the villian is that bad you have to say it special.
