Great Podcast guys, The news segment was especially awesome, wish I could get my hand on all that delicious looking One Piece food Thanks so much for the pics! The manga recap was especially fantastic since this was such a great chapter but I do hope we get a new chapter this week. the Unlimited Cruise 2 review was great too. Until next Monday guys ^_~!
Awesome choice of picture! The manga chapter for this week kept me on edge and I do hope that Luffy Z& Jimbe reunite in the sea forest. I also enjoyed hearing a review of a game I’ve never played, but it sounds like the gameplay is close to Unlimited Adventure if that’s the case I bet its a blast. See ya guyz next Monday!!
Manga recap…
Um, yeah, I didn’t really think much of Rika on the cover… But really, why show her? She barely played a role in the Captain Morgan arc… Then again, it was slightly because of her that Zoro was captured and thus met Luffy… I wonder if she’s going to do anything important in the future. And will indeed see Johnny and Yosaku… in time…
I didn’t seem to take notice of the background character… I guess it does kind of suck that it doesn’t have as much detail as One Piece used to have… But I didn’t really care, since this is just to front cover and this is a background character that’s not important. It sucks that it’s not as good as it once was, but it’s no big loss as far as I’m concerned.
I do think Hody has the right idea about Fishmen and Merfolk seeing eye-to-eye, but the WRONG idea by saying humans are the inferior species. He’s also a little messed up, saying history has taken the “wrong path”. I do agree, in that history usually prefers either oppression or seperation, and that the right path should be a a more united peace. That’s DEFINITELY not what Hody’s thinking. Hody’s a little messed in the head.
Today’s the anniversary of when Vander Decken messages to Shirahoshi? I didn’t realize that… I guess this is a very meaningful day indeed. Why? You’ll see…
This is also a nice, subtle call-back, to teh early days in which Luffy would beat ALL the major villains, all the time, no question. It wasn’t until Crocodile that things started to get iffy…
As weak as I perceive Hody Jones to be, I do, like you guys, love the design of all his henchmen. Especially Zeo! Or should I say… Zeo-dberg! XD
They are (from left to right) Dosun, Zeo, Ikaros Much, Daruma, Hyozo, and Hody Jones.
I love Robin’s eyes…
Also, Oda DID watch Lost. I think… I was sure he said he liked that.
I didn’t really think much of the “curses”… I thought it was just because Vander Decken was embarrassed, or maybe it really was a “curse” and not really a Devil Fruit power, as obvious at it is… Maybe there is more to it than that. Minor details. They shouldn’t be ignored.
The Minister is right, Zoro IS a born killer. Zoro didn’t exactly deny that, but he really shouldn’t get angry when someone’s telling the truth.
See, they ARE stupid, for dismissing the true as being “too absurd”. I believe Sherlock Holmes once said “when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth”.
Nami means Luffy wouldn’t “kidnap” the princess, as in take her by force with malicious intent, but I think she would know he would probably take her on some kind of adventure for whatever reason.
The Thousand Sunny survived because it’s made from legendary Adam Wood! It must be incredible durable!
I loved seeing Tom’s brother Den. Tom was an awesome character, so meeting his family is just as awesome! It’s nice to see Tom’s apprentice get to know Tom’s brother, it’s like they’re family already!
We finally get an explanation about Fishmen and Mermen families, and even MORE about their culture in terms of not judging people by appearance and associated their appearance with family ties… I guess for me it’s obvious, because it’s genetics, but these are fairly new genetics that I don’t understand. So it’s kind of a reversal.
Also, lol at Franky’s smiling face. I don’t know what it is about it, but it makes me laugh. :3
I always assumed Tom was dead. It makes sense, seeing as all the other tragic backstories had the death of someone, not to mention, as someone associated with Gol D. Roger, he must have been sentenced to death. Also, mohawk Franky and Jinbe nearby, yay!
The situation just keeps getting worse for the Straw Hats… or DOES it?! I was reminded of Tao Pai Pai from Dragon Ball when Vander Decken threw the coral…
Also, Luffy is laughing… And so is Shirahoshi, despite being inside of a shark that’s actually smaller than her…
Wait… “Sona bakaNYA”? “Nya”, as in the sound a cat makes in Japanese?
Unlimited Cruise 2 review…
I watched the beginning of of that game, up to the Kid boss-fight… I want to see more of it… A fight against Shanks AND Mihawk?! You’re fucked man, you better run the frick away!
They got lazy with the translations… :/
I want to know… Gabri BECOMES a human?! And sails off in a barrel?! I’m not angry, I’m more annoyed at how stupid an ending that is. :/ …:P
