So we have some very bad news and some very good news. First the bad: Oda will be taking a vacation for four weeks beginning AFTER Chapter 597. That means we’re still getting a chapter this week…but we’re not getting one the following week, and so on.

He’s the same guy who gives information about what’s taking breaks, and what titles are towards the end of the magazine, reflecting polls.Specifically, Jump issue 40~43 will have no One Piece.

Now for the good news. We have some big announcements for how we’re going to fill in the One Piece void for you:
J. Michael Tatum (September 19th) – Just in time for Eneru’s debut on DVD, Mr. Tatum himself will be returning for his third appearance on The One Piece Podcast! Expect an intelligent, off-the-wall discussion on One Piece and everything else from fan and Voice Actor of God Eneru, Dalton, Pearl, and others.
Stephen Paul (TBD) – Professional Manga translator, Stephen has worked with Tokyopop, VIZ, Del Rey Manga and Yen Press. He worked on series such as Beck, and is currently working on Moyashimon and other titles for Yen Press. He is an avid One Piece fan and will be delving into Oda’s world as we wait for his return in October.
Greg Werner (All September) – The Greg no Gougai segment will return in full force (if not full force, then at least with some sort of force), so get ready. For those who don’t know him…Greg is our correspondent from Japan, and has provided us with exclusive commentary on events like Strong World and Jump Festa 2010. Greg has just returned from the exotic land of New Jersey, and will be recounting his adventures both abroad and in Japan.
We’re still waiting on even more guests, so expect a full guest list announcement in the coming week or so. Keep an eye out!
